CBT

« Back to Glossary Index

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a structured, evidence-based form of psychotherapy that helps individuals identify, challenge, and change unhelpful patterns of thinking (cognitions) and behavior. It is based on the idea that thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are interconnected, and by changing negative thought patterns, people can improve how they feel and act. CBT is goal-oriented, often time-limited, and focuses on developing practical skills for managing stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns.
